The newest up and coming technology introduced to the modern world is AI, artificial intelligence. CEO and revolutionary Sam Altman, launched Open AI and Chat-GPT in 2022. The ongoing conversation around AI is students using Chat GPT for assistance and possible cheating. Many people in society see Chat GPT as a threat due to security and safety risks. Artificial Intelligence is still in the early stages of development, which means there is a plethora of regulations, limitations, and overall adaptability to be done by the company and consumers.
Chat GPT has been a educational tool utilized by many students and teachers since it’s release. The rate of possibility of rapid intelligence could assist both students and teachers advance in learning. According to USA Today and Impact, a survey showed the responses of both students and teachers of how they feel with the newest technological advancement. The biggest concern is coming from teachers with, “70% of teachers have not received faculty guidance on Chat GPT”. Along with only “43% of teachers think it will make their lives more difficult”. Teachers feel set back with the new technology of Chat GPT because it is inevitabaly going to be apart of new educational curriculums. “73% of teachers believe the tool the tool can help students excel through learning”. According to the survey, “63% of students and 72% of teachers agree Chat GPT is apart of modern education”. AI offers students and teachers access to rapid super machine intelligence. This allows any one in the world with internet access a personal tutor and information at the tip of their fingers. AI can help us grow not only as a society, but scientifically and economically.
